Program: Basic SKILLZ (5 and 6 yrs.)
Skill: Static Arm Exercise
Drill: Beginner push-up holds
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Several to monitor
Description: The students will build arm strength by holding their body off the ground with their palms, while on their knees.
Steps:
- Have your students lay on their bellies with their palms on the ground at their side, right below their shoulders, and knees bent so that their toes are points towards the ceiling.
- Explain the rules:
- When I say, “go” you will raise your body off the ground with your palms, while keeping your knees, hips, and head aligned.
- Make sure your toes remain pointed towards the ceiling.
- You will hold the beginner push-up position and count to ten.
- While you are counting, try not to move your body at all.
- On the second turn, make sure they maintain perfect alignment with their knees, hips, and head.

Skill: Static Leg Exercise
Drill: Beginner squat holds
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Several to monitor
Description: The students will build their leg strength by holding their body in a squat position with their arms extended in front of them.
Steps:
- Have your students stand with their feet shoulder-width apart and arms extended in front of them, parallel to the ground.
- Explain the rules:
- When I say, “go” you will lower your body into a deep squat position while your arms remain extended in front of you.
- You will hold the beginner squat position and count to ten.
- While you are counting, try not to move your body at all.
- On the second turn, try to have them lower their body even further.

Skill: Static Abs Exercise
Drill: Beginner dish holds
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Several to monitor
Description: The students will build abdominal strength by raising their shoulders off the ground.
Steps:
- Have your students lay on their backs with their arms to their sides.
- Explain the rules:
- When I say, “go” you will raise your shoulders off the ground.
- Try to keep your feet together and try not to bend your knees.
- You will hold the beginner dish position and count to ten.
- While you are counting, try not to move your body at all.
- On the second turn, try to have them raise their shoulders a little higher, but not passed a 45-degree angle.

Program: Basic SKILLZ (5 and 6 yrs.)
Skill: Static Core Exercise
Drill: Beginner bridge holds
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Several to monitor
Description: The students will build their core strength by holding their body off the ground using their palms and their feet.
Steps:
- Have your students sit with their palms on the ground at their side (fingers pointed forward); and their knees up with their feet flat on the floor (toes pointed forward).
- Explain the rules:
- When I say, “go” you will raise your body off the ground with the palms of your hands and your feet, as if you were a table.
- Try to keep your body parallel to the ground.
- You will hold the beginner bridge position and count to ten.
- While you are counting, try not to move your body at all.
- On the second turn, walk around and push on their bellies as they provided resistance.
