Character Lessonz

Increase the value of your programs by referring to these monthly character lessons, which include parent letters, character drills, and a week-by-week layout. UPDATED MONTHLY!

Week 4: Caring Overview

(This lesson plan is for all age groups)

Steps:

  1. Review the age-specific character overview from week 1.
  2. Run each student through the age-specific drills from week 2.
  3. Ask two or three students to share with everyone what they learned about being caring. Ask them if they feel more caring now that they’ve learned the importance of caring for others.
  4. Have them turn in their charity box take-home form and award them with their patch, stripe, or prize.

Final character discussion for caring:
“This month you’ve learned how to be more caring. You have learned to be kind to others. You have also learned how to share with others. The most important thing I want everyone to remember about this month’s character lesson word is that the more we care about others and the more we work together to care for others, the better our world will be.”
